9/11 Family Liaisons
Our general counsel, Michael N. Block, Esq., has advised that recent clarifications of the regulations for the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund of 2001 have made it more viable for the families of our deceased members to participate in the Fund. Mr. Block's firm, along with several other law firms, are representing a number of our families pro bono. He urges that you speak to the family members you are helping and ask that they have their attorneys contact Mr. Block or that they themselves call Mr. Block to discuss how to best approach the Fund. The pro bono attorneys will be working together to coordinate their approach to the Fund claims process. Mr. Block can be reached at (212) 732-9000.
